OTS (Operator Training Systrem)

OTS는 실제 플랜트를 소프트웨어로 模寫하여 운전원이 실제 플랜트와 같은 공정조건에서 운전 연습을 할 수 있도록 지원하며, 엔지니어들이 공정 개선 또는 설계 변경 시 가상의 플랜트에서 모의 실험을 함으로써 사전에 문제를 발견하여 개선할 수 있도록 지원하는 소프트웨어 Package입니다.

또한 가상의 공정에 다양한 외란을 주어서 공정을 불안정한 상태로 만들어서 운전 연습을 할 수 있습니다. 따라서 실제 운전 중 공정 이상이 발생 시 적절히 대응할 수 있는 능력을 키울 수 있습니다.

OTS는 DCS와 직접 연결하여 실제 운전용 시스템과 같은 환경에서 현재 운전하고 있는 그래픽 및 데이터를 그대로 활용할 수 있으므로 운전원에게는 더욱 실감나는 교육이 될 수 있습니다.

일반적으로 OTS의 특징은 하기와 같습니다.

Scenarios are automated sequences of events that can be recorded and re-played as consistent training exercises.
Event Monitor captures the actions of the instructor, trainee and outside operator along with subsequent process alarm conditions for display, reporting and record keeping.
Process Upsets of equipment, valves and instruments challenge the skills of operators.
Process Monitor gives the user a quick overview of the current status of key variables in the model in a tabular format. This overview window shows the user the current values of the key variables in relation to their target or ideal values. This allows the instructor to pinpoint areas of the model that require more attention from the trainee
Training Performance Tables monitor plant key operating variables, assign grade according to the operator’s skill in responding to training scenarios and generate reports for record keeping
Automatic Snapshot allows process conditions to be stored automatically at given intervals during the simulation session. These stored conditions become saved initial conditions that can be used in future sessions or deleted.
Backtrack allows Shadow Plant to be restored to a previous set of conditions saved during the current simulation session.
Real Time Trending provides multi-variable trend displays of any simulated variables for viewing, reporting and record keeping
Real Time Graphics provides the instructor with operating graphics and control targets for all DCS and field operating variables
On-line Help is available to trainees, instructors, engineers and system managers in finding their way around the User Interface and its functions
Unit Display allows engineers and system managers to view detailed information about the streams and equipment variables for a module. This allows the user to examine variables such as stream temperatures, pressures, compositions, etc.
